Vector car
Again, before we begin, find a large high resolution photo from 800x600 pixels and above. Practice makes this tutorial perfect. Try and try again and you will see that your effort is going to pay out. OK, lets start. Open your source image in Photoshop. |
Create a new layer above your background layer, wich is the car, and call it white background. Turn the visibility to off, on this layer (click the eye nextto it). Now create a new layer on top of all the others and call it outline. On this layer you will trace all the details on your car, windows, rims, tyres, lights, interior....
Fter a lot of time and work you shoul end up with something like this: |

Now lets color this car. On a new layer below your outline layer, color the tyres, after that, on a new layer, color the rims, on a new layer the windows........(color the whole car, on separate layers). Here is mine: |
A advice you to draw/outline the interior of the car for better finalresult.
Now on a new layer trace all the highlights on your car. Its very simple, evry white highlight on a separate layer. Play with the opacity. After some time, I finished my car, I also painted the background and this is what I have, my final result: |
